Have you started tweeting yet? Twitter is a social networking tool that allows you to instantly send a micro-text to the world and amass a following of people – or tweeple – who are interested in what you have to say. We have 2 twitter accounts. YOU should be following us: twitter.com/toptenwholesale and twitter.com/jasonprescott .

Here are my Top 10 twitter tips to engage buyers and sellers and increase the amount of wholesale traffic you get to your site:

1) Integrate twitter with your cms system. Most cms providers, like wordpress, allow for this. Check out our blog.
2) Talk about new events and products coming out.
3) Build up your status quo. Talk about your business. Prove that you are active.
4) Share your ideas with like minded folks to form great business strategies.
5) Get usability testes for new products. Great for QA.
6) Follow major events and news in your industry.
7) Learn from other colleagues.
8) Get customer feedback
9) Promote your sales on closeout items or new wholesale products.
10) Discover new trends for the products you sell using search.twitter.com

You should not delay adapting a Social Media Strategy. SMO is a huge field now and if you let it pass you by, kiss some great sales opportunities good-bye.
